Applications

Key Ingredients
SALICYLIC ACID 2%
Also referred to as BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid, salicylic acid differs from AHAs in being oil-soluble rather than water-soluble. This unique property allows it to exfoliate inside the pores by dissolving the bonds that hold dead cells together, even in the presence of sebum or acne pustules — making it especially effective at reducing breakouts, including blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic acid is recognized as an over-the-counter topical acne ingredient by the U.S. FDA when used in concentrations of 0.5-2%. Formulas containing more than 2% are prescription-level or professional-only. Another distinctive advantage: salicylic acid gently soothes aggravated skin thanks to its inherent anti-inflammatory properties.
NIACINAMIDE
Also known as vitamin B3, this skin-restoring multi-tasker visibly improves uneven skin tone, strengthens barrier function and helps normalize the appearance of pore size. With continued use, it also contributes to balancing sebum production without a drying effect.
ZINC SULFATE
An antimicrobial and bacteriostatic agent that joins forces with salicylic acid to address inflammation and the proliferation of acne-related bacteria — effectively, yet gently. Zinc is also known for its anti-redness properties and its overall pacifying effect on flare-ups, skin lesions and dermatitis linked to sebum overproduction.
